Cres-Losinjer archipelago is placed in Kvarner Bay. Due to its 36 islands it is the broadest group of islands in the whole Adriatic Sea. There’s a bridge connecting the island of Cres with the island of Losinj that is famous for its beneficial Mediterranean climate. The capital of Kvarner islands is the romantic island of Mali Lošinj, which is placed within the largest archipelago bay and has approximately 7.000 inhabitants. Thanks to its luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation, Mali Losinj is a real charming “green paradise”. All the way from 19th century, tourists have been visiting the antique parish church and beautiful villas in the old city centre on the island of Mali Losinj as well as the island of Veli Losinj and its botanical garden with more than 80 different kinds of exotic plants.
Near the island of Cres, the biggest lake of the whole archipelago found its place. It is called Lake Kosmacev and it supplies the whole island with water.
Particularly interesting boat excursions include some charming destinations such as the island of Unije, which is a real beach paradise; Vele and Male Srakane where you can find the remains of an old fortress; the island of Susak, which is a wine-growing area with sand beaches; and the island of Ilovik called the island of flowers.

From Munich: take the A8 motorway from Munich towards Salzburg and then proceed towards Spittal – Millstaetter following the A10. Continue on the A10 towards Ljubliana passing Villach – Faaker See - Kranj through the Karawankatunnel. This will take you to Rupa, then head for Rijeka. At Rijeka by following indications for the islands of Lussino, Cres and Krk you have a choice: either follow signs to Brestova from where you can take a ferry to Porozine on the island of Cres; or follow signs for Kraljevica where you can take the nearby bridge to the island of Krk. From here proceed to Valbiska, and you will reach the departure point for ferries to Merag on the island of Cres. Merag is conveniently connected to the island of Losinj by a bridge.

From Vienna: Take the A23 motorway from Vienna towards Graz on the A2; then follow signs to Maribor on the A9 and then proceed on the A10 towards Postojna.
From Postojna one reaches Rijeka, follow the signs to the ferries to the islands of Lussino, Cres and Krk .
You then have two options: either follow signs to Brestova where you can take a ferry to Porozine on the island of Cres; or follow signs for Kraljevica where it is possible to take the nearby bridge to the island of Krk. From here, proceed towards Valbiska and you will come to the departure point for ferries to Merag on the island of Cres. Merag is conveniently connected to the island of Losinj by a bridge.

From Italy: Take the A4 Milan – Venice motorway; at the Mestre turn-off proceed towards Trieste (Triest) and then follow signs for Rijeka. At Rijeka by following signs for ferries to the islands of Lussino, Cres and Krk there are two alternatives: follow signs for Brestova from where ferries depart for Porozine on the island of Cres; or follow signs for Kraljevica where you can take the nearby bridge to the island of Krk. From here proceed for Valbiska and you will reach the departure point for Merag on the island of Cres. Merag is conveniently connected to the island of Losinj by a bridge.
